In the late 70’s my father, John A. Good, began a radio show called the” Bread of Life.” It aired on 1340 WNHC in New Haven, CT. The Lord spoke to him and told him to go teach His people, in the greater New Haven area. The show became a rather popular show among the Christian community influencing many of the ministries in the area. WNHC eventually changed ownership which brought an end to public radio.
In 2001 the show moved to 1530 WDJZ in Bridgeport, CT, where The Bread of Life became one of the first shows apart of the People Broadcast Network. In 2005 after my father became too ill to drive, I began dropping the prerecorded show off to the station. After several visits Big T, the CSO of the station, asked me to consider starting my own show. Having a BA in Communications from UNH I was familiar with radio. Big T asked me to consider a show several weeks in a row. I eventually mentioned it to dad who suggested I take his show. He had a hour show at the time where he would air sermons from Sunday morning. I began producing the show around November of 2005 not realizing that my father would pass in April. However the transition allowed the show to continue without any interruptions.
In 2016 the Bread of Life made another major transition, not only moving to a FM station but also changing the name of the broadcast. The Bread of Life was officially changed to His Good Treasure Radio Show. This move helped create a cohesiveness with the Good Treasure brand. This move also aided the station in their transition from a Spanish speaking station to an English speaking station. The show airs every Monday (eastern standard time) from 4:00PM to 4:30PM on 1350 WLNK and can be streamed lived from their website (http://1350wnlk.com) .
